It's also very easy to adjust the angle on all parts.

Also, this stand does not have the option to easily switch to the back, although it is significantly less expensive than the other model.

I needed something that would help too keep my back straighter and this frame works great.

Fairly easy to assmble. One of the pieces was not drawn correctly in the instructions so that took some time to figure out how to put it together. Light to move around. The only bad point is that the height is fixed and depending on the chair I'm using at the moment, I might need the frame to be higher. You can modify the arch of the structure to fix this, but it messes up with the balance so you have to hold it down with your feet.
But over all it is a good pruchase. It really helped me to speed up my needlepointing and it takes less time to set up or to stop.

The jaws that holds the frame is made with two long screws with wing nuts that hang down. Once you put your frame in it, you literally have to use pliers to make the wing nuts tight enough to hold the scroll frame, otherwise it just sags down.

I tried tightening these metal wing nuts with my fingers and I use my fingers to embroider. My fingers were so sore I could not even use a needle afterwards. Why they could not put the same knobs that are on the frame on the frame holder is beyond me.

It's almost impossible to get the frame out once it's in the holder. Even though you loosen the wing nuts, the frame jaw won't open to let go of the frame. The screws are too large for the holes and the frame jaws do not slip open easily because the screw holes dont let the screws slide easily. I had to take a hammer on the screws to push them up through the holes so it would let go of my frame. I though my beautiful work would be destroyed.

I don't know when these manufacturers are going to stop making garbage produced in China and start making quality products. I'm tired of having to return products because of poor workmanship.

American Dream makes far superior products and it's all made in America (the next down over from where I live in Washington). I'm sending this product back and buying the American Dream Product, which is well-made - like American products have always been. I would not recommend this product at all.

I really wanted to like this product but you can't easily flip your work over to start or finish a thread while its still in the frame and its REALLY hard to get in and out of. It's easier to cross stitch without this product which stinks.

So, this is my second universal craft stand, and I am once again thrilled. The stand needs to be assembled, but honestly you need a philipps (or Star) screwdriver for only a few of the bolts.

The best part about the stand is how easy it is to adjust it. There are several knobs that can be used to move the stand to just the right height.

I've had my first stand over 10+ years. The only reason I bought another one, is so I had it when I come to visit Mom.

My only complaint is that my stand at home has the ability to flip your work without having to turn the stand.... I guess I forgot that option was something I needed to look for when ordering the stand.

Oh and due to some issues with my neck, my physical therapist recommended that I stitch looking straight ahead. so I can turn the piece up and attach my work (in qsnaps) that way. I clamp my magnifier onto the qsnaps and voila - proper posture and no neck pain.

A great product !!!!

I Love it. It holds canvases where I need them, I can work easily. Keeps everything out of the way when not in use and yet ready when I am to work on them. It's just what I needed.

I've already completed one canvas and starting on another. Highly recommend especially for older workers who need the ease of needle point and comfort. I'll be 70 in November so I really need comfort when working.

I have arthritis in my left thumb which was making it painful to hold an embroidery hoop in my hand. This craft stand has solved my dilemma brilliantly. I have many embroidery hoops. large and small, and it holds them all tightly. One of my best purchases ever.

I purchased this stand because I am working with a 2' oval hoop, which was murdering my hands.
The stand came in pieces. Super easy instructions on how to put it together. You will need a screwdriver.
My only issue with the stand is the wingnuts supplied are made of super cheap material and would not stay in place. I had to replace them with better quality ones.

Using this stand allows me to raise my work to a height that I can sit comfortably without constantly bending my neck forward. I do find my frame does tilt down a little bit from pressure of my hands as I sew, but for the price and convenience I can live with that.
