This product was given to our 9 year old son from Santa. For the price, I thought that all the items I was receiving was going to be a great deal! NOT! The watch battery went dead w/in days after Christmas! The camera, you might as well bought out of a gum-ball machine!...easly broken. (Just by loading the film & the pictures that were developed were horrible. Even the ones I took.) The other "outdoor items" are very cheaply made & break easily. (To repeat the quote like they came out of a .50 gum-ball machine.)It is NOT worth it at all. It is very cheaply made! Please save your self the agervation & tears & do NOT buy it!

I ordered three of these, one for my three and half year old son, and one each for his cousins aged 5 and 6. The set looked beautiful in the package, but when I opened the package and took the binoculars in hand, I realized I was holding a junk piece of plastic! One of the eyepieces broke within a minute due to the poorly designed (?) hinge. The telescope is supposedly a 10X power, but is just a plastic tube with two lenses on each end. The compass keeps pointing to the East as North. The flashlight seems like the best of the six items. A bonus wrist watch is so thick and huge that forget 6 year olds, it's big even for adults. The set also includes a fixed focus, fixed speed, no flash, reusable camera. I am sure it will take pictures, but I am not inclined to keep it. I am returning all the three sets. (...) At (the price) my expectations were already not very high. But with this quality, this stuff is not even worth the packaging and shipping charges.

Three of the six pieces to this set fell apart within 3 weeks. Better to pick out components individually that you're interested in than spend (your money)on this garbage. 1 star is too many for the rating.

The outdoor adventure kit worked great to keep my 3 year old son occupied while his older brother and I worked with the telescope. He now has his "gear" and lets his brother work in semi-peace.
