This a great Work, and is the benchmark for others to follow who will write on this subject. The information in this book is very thoughtful, and it is not just information. I grew up in the South, and the perspective in which James Bank writes from, and I can truly relate. Many of thoughts that comes from a culture which permeates this work such is relevant to anyone in the field of Education.Taylor, T.

The book arrived very quickly. It was in almost new condition. It is an excellent text for me as I work at the university level with student teacher interns who are learning how to teach Social Studies at the middle school level. It is a very useful addition to my library. I am considering the possibility of using it as one of the texts in my courses.
