Review

Educating Gifted Students in Middle School provides teachers and administrators with a guide to planning and implementing a program for gifted students. This comprehensive book contains a wealth of information for middle school professionals.

Each chapter begins with a set of essential questions. Charts and curriculum models are included to assist in developing a program. The chapters close with "Next Steps. . .Take Action" with suggestions for implementation. These features add to the appeal of the book as an excellent selection for an after-school educators' book club.

As educators, we know the importance of meeting the needs of all of our students. I recommend this book to all middle school professionals. It is worth reading, discussing, and applying. --Lois Spangler, Science Scope, March 2007
