This review is from: Education for Development in Asia (Hardcover)
There is a lot of evidence about the importance of education. What is missing, however, is a good chapter explaining the policies adopted by the successful countries to improve their education level. It would have been better, also, if the author would focus on the economic miracle cases (e.g., the East Asian economies and not in almost all Asian countries. For a larger book the entire Asian experience would have been good, but for just 187 pages of text, it ends quite superficial.
