Book Description

Proves why classroom sex education is always wrong and always harmful; that it destroys modesty; awakens the passions; promotes sexual activity and fosters acceptance of sexual sins. Shows where it comes from; who promotes it; that it is all-pervasive. Gives the Church's position; that sex education is the right and duty of parents only; which may be delegated to others; but never usurped! A must for parents; teachers and priests. 256 pgs; PB

3.0 out of 5 stars Glad I read it!, December 23, 2000

I read this book as a requirement for a continued education class in Human Sexuality (which I took as part of intense research for a theatre piece)and found it an interesting addition to the other books required for the course. Differing viewpoints always excite me, especially when they trigger strong reactions and intelligent, heated debate. This book did exactly this. I'd recommend it as part of a collected read on the subject involved-- and then let yourself be the judge. You will not be bored, and indeed you may find yourself reacting on a visceral level and ready for discussion with others who have read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Review from the Publisher, March 15, 2001
By A Customer
In total contradiction to the traditional Catholic teaching that instructing children in sexual matters is the right and duty of the parents, we now see a flood of classroom Sex Education programs and classroom "Chastity Education" programs. According to author Randy Engel, this "education" is designed to destroy natural modesty in children, awaken the passions, and pressure them to accept all sexual sins and perversions like homosexuality as normal. Classroom sex education is a grave moral evil, a serious occasion of sin, is all-pervasive, is taking place in most Catholic (as well as public) grade and high schools, and is being allowed - and promoted - by those in position of authority in the Catholic Church, including bishops, priests and nuns. Mrs. Engel's book, Sex Education-The Final Plague, explains where this moral plague came from, who is promoting it in Catholic schools today, and the Vatican's response to it. She calls for the Church to put a total ban on all school "sex education" programs. All Catholic parents should read this book in order to be armed against one of the gravest moral dangers facing our children today. 228pp. PB.

1.0 out of 5 stars Book Fails to Deliver on Promise, November 13, 2000
A Kid's Review
This was quite possibly the most inaccurate portrayal of the sex education movement since, "Sex Education: A Deeper Look." The author has obviously never attended an actual sex education class, nor has he ever had sex himself. My friends and I could have written a far better book than this over-hyped mistake.
