The lessons are informative and interactive. For students who'd like to learn practical basics to mid level math skills at their own pace, this kit is an excellent choice. The interface may seem a bit outdated, but the contents is ever relevant. For the price you cannot go wrong.

My 7th grade son just transferred to a new school with higher academic standards. I knew that we would need to catch him up to speed and was actually looking for home school type materials. When I saw this set on Amazon, I thought for $30 it was worth a try. Having been a teacher myself for 10 years, I am very impressed by the amount of materials in this set. The CD's are quick and simple to install. There are not only lessons and quizzes but also fun, little games to play. You can also print off lessons and instructional sheets. At first my son was not real enthused by the thought of extra work but after watching me do one, he became curious. I also have personally used the CD's to test my knowledge and brush up on my skills. Great Price for so many resources! I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

This is a really wonderful set, and a terrific asset for a student. The price is amazing, considering all the subjects that are covered and the wide range of grade levels. For any struggling student, or for one that tends to be bored and wants to move ahead, I'd certainly recommend them.

I am 29 and needed something afordable to help me study for my GED exam.
I wanted something online because due to a hand condition it is too hard for me to write and study on paper.
There is very little educational software out there and before buying here the only other website I found had GED prep software at insanely high prices and im on SSI so even though I wanted to get better stuff you have to make do when your on a strict and small budget.

Positive- Looking through them it's nice to see that each disc contains so many lessons in an easy to read way and they are also very simple to navigate. I had no problems installing and they load quickly. I also like that they have quiz sections and a specific CD to help with quiz taking. I think that I can learn alot from these in my spare time.

Negative- The one thing I was hoping for and was disapointed in was that I wanted something that had alot more interaction. As in, do a lesson, answer questions, do a lesson, take a test. I wanted a more structured and interactive curriculum but it's just endless amounts of reading, even in the math sections. The only interactive parts ive encountered so far are the quiz sections. If I wanted to just do reading I could easily find it on the internet or in the library.

Neutral- From reading other reviewers say that the graphics where outdated, I already expected as much when I looked into them but they REALLY are very outdated. Some of the animations also seem very childish, almost geared towards much younger children even though most are for grades 9-12. When the description mentions the grades, I asumed the grade levels were for all subjects, but the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels are only actually listed on the math CDs. All others list 9-12 clearly

Overall, for the price, it's worth it.

I was unsure if this would work for my daughter (in 7th grade) but she is able to use quite a few of these already. Even the ones that are above her grade level yet there are many that she will be using in the years to come. I feel this to be a really good deal.

This product came in a baggy without a single instruction. The software is exactly as stated but I would have preferred something that could be printed out daily with better record keeping and better organization. Some of the programs are difficult to get out of too. It is a good teaching tool though.

Ordered this for my husband, who is studying up on trig - on his own. He was pleased with this, since we were having a hard time finding anything but grammer school stuff in the local stores.

The information on the disks seem to be awkwardly divided between animations that are uninteresting and a waste of time. The lessons I saw are not even interactive. The few videos on the disks were also a waste of time. My 13 and 15 year old boys decided that Kahn Academy far surpassed anything from this outdated software.

I purchased this set of CD's for my grandkids, but to be honest, I am enjoying going back to the basics and refreshing my memory of these courses. This was a very good purchase and the seller is one that I would recommend to anyone. The CD's arrived in a very timely manner. Thanks!
