This review is from: Sea-Monkeys Wrist Aquarium (Toy)
It was a little tricky to get a Sea Monkey out from the Aquarium and into the wrist aquarium. Once in, kids got to bring there new toy to show and tell. Lots of fun...

A Different Toy, January 13, 2008

I purchased this for my 6 yr old grandson. The Sea Monkeys have hatched and are doing their thing. Very minute at this point, but it is a fun, interesting 'toy' -- I hope they continue to live for awhile!

No, but I have these awesome Seamonkeys on my wrist! It's even better than a real watch!
Everybody who knows me knows that I am very passionate about raising my Seamonkeys. Due to the lack of literature on Seamonkey development (which is shameful), I have begun reading up on child development and trying to apply the same principles to taking the best possible care of my Seamonkeys. After all, they are my babies! Each and every one is so special to me.
One thing I have been reading a lot about is the principle of "babywearing". It's like when you have a baby and instead of leaving it in a crib or playpen, you strap it to your chest or back and wear it around so it can see the world as you're doing stuff. I thought this was a fantastic idea, and apparently so did the Seamonkey Overlords, or they would not have created such an elegant solution for enthusiasts like myself who wish to "babywear" their Seamonkeys! It would be downright silly to wear them on your chest or back, as they are so small, so instead, this wristwatch carrier is the perfect way to take your Seamonkeys out on the town!
Listen, my Seamonkeys have the best home setup in town. Probably in the state, and possibly in the entire country. I would say in the entire world except for Ernst von Knickerschniztel in Hamburg, Germany -- all I have to say about him is that it must be nice to have that much money and that much free time. Some of us have jobs to go to and we can't spend all day building elaborate Seamonkey habitats.
That said, my Seamonkeys have a pretty sweet setup. I have built an acrylic aquarium for them into a bay window so that they can both observe the goings on in the house and the goings on on the street outside. They love it! But even when you have the choice of two awesome views, you kind of stagnate, developmentally. Babies benefit from seeing new places and meeting new people -- and so do Seamonkeys!
The uniqueness of the wrist-aquarium makes a great icebreaker, which really helps to ensure that your Seamonkeys meet as many new people as possible. The only downside I have experienced is chronic lateness because I can no longer wear a watch -- to ensure that as many Seamonkeys as possible get out of the house, I wear one wrist aquarium on each wrist. It's cool because they look like sweatbands!
Caution though, don't play sports while wearing your Wrist Aquarium. They're pretty sturdy, but I still cry at night sometimes remembering the horrible softball tragedy of June 2009. Blinky, Desdemona, Scrappy IV, Scamp, and Sweetums, you guys were each so special to me, Requiescat In Pace.
