Excellent for your pretend chef!,

We own all four of the Let's Pretend cooking items. My kids love to play with them. They fill them with water and ice cubes and "cook" away on the counter with a kitchen towel to catch the overflow. Definitely recommend for toddlers.

I really enjoyed this product for my toddler. The beaters are easily changed to dough hooks (by my 18-month old) that also came with the mixer. My toddler has had his fingers in the beaters and has even put his nose into the beaters, both without any injury (though I wouldn't really recommend doing this). He has already had lots of fun with this, and it seems to be pretty durable.

Our son loves this mixer. He loves to add water to it and "make cookies." The last mixer we bought (different brand) broke within 1 week, and this one has lasted 4 months and it going strong.

We bought this mixer when we purchased the Kidkraft Deluxe Let's Cook Kitchen. It looks like it belongs with the kitchen!
My three-year-old son has always been a little wary of my Kitchen-Aid mixer. He loves to help me cook, but it makes him nervous when I turn the mixer on. So, we bought this mixer in hopes that he would understand and be more comfortable with the sounds of the real one. He absolutely LOVES this mixer. It comes with two different sets of beaters that are pretty easy to switch out, and it can come off the stand to be a hand-held mixer. The only problem I have now is that my son is comfortable with putting his hands in the beaters while they are going because they just stop moving when too much pressure is put on them. I'm going to have to keep a very close eye on him when we're using the real mixer so he will not try the same thing! I do like that it does not hurt the toy when he does put his hands on it, though. The motor doesn't struggle or anything, so I assume that is what it is supposed to do. Oh, and there are two options for turning the mixer on- you can turn it all the way on so the beaters just continually turn, or you can turn it on "half-way", so the child gets to push a big round button to make it go in short spurts. I think that is a lot of fun, too! To address the negative reviews (currently there are only a few and they are only because their particular mixers did not work at all), I guess you just have to make sure to buy this mixer from a good company, like Amazon, who will give you a full refund or exchange easily. I think with any toy that runs on batteries and has a motor, there are going to be a few that do not work for whatever reason. To me, this toy is worth the trouble of exchanging it for a new one if it did not work initially. My son loves it very much!

I ordered this for my 4 yr old's birthday. We put in fresh batteries, moved the switch, pushed the button, and nothing happened. This would be great if it worked, but it didn't. We really wanted it, so I sent it back and requested a new one. The next one came and had the same problem. I tested the batteries, and they were good. I also made sure the batteries were inserted properly. Something must be wrong with the switches or electronics on the toy. After two tries, I was done. Maybe we got the only two lemons. It was a very disappointing experience.

This blender was D.O.A. My wife tried 2 sets of batteries in the blender while I was at work. When I got home I took a look at it and the bottom was very hot. I unscrewed the battery compartment to find the batteries had swelled and the battery compartment had started to melt. This toy is another fine quality Chinese product! It needs to be recalled before a child gets injured.

I was so disappointed with this because after we put the batteries in it, it didn't work. This was to be a Christmas present for my daughter. My husband did his best to take it apart to check that the wires were connected, but we couldn't make this toy work at all.

When my daughter opened this on Christmas morning, she was very excited because she really wanted this gift in particular. We removed the packaging, put in the required batteries, and turned it on for her. Nothing happened. It would not work at all, despite changing the batteries several times and checking every setting on the mixer. I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy this for their child.

It was a huge disappointment on Christmas day when new batteries were inserted and nothing happened when the mixer was turned on. We even tried a different set of batteries. Good thing Amazon is refunding 100 % plus paying for the return shipping.

My son asked for ONE toy for Christmas. A mixer. I chose this one because it was supposed to light up and make real sounds. It was his only gift from Santa Claus, and it worked for about 38 seconds. I wouldn't recommend this toy to anyone. I will be returning it for my money back. Absolute disappointment! Such a sad, sad way to introduce a child to Santa's bag. "I'm sorry, Honey! I'll have to ask Santa's elves to work a little harder next year, building his toys!" Don't waste your time or money on this piece of crap!!!! It doesn't even deserve one star.
