Sure, a huge bucket full of letters and numbers is educational, but this particular bucket is a bad buy. The magnets are not very strong at all. And to make it worse, no one really thought of balance when designing this set of letters and numbers. Even with magnets, gravity still works. When you try to place a letter correctly, the low grade magnets and the weight of the plastic turn the letter on it's side. if you're very lucky, the magnet will stay there and just hang wrong. However, most of the letters just slide down to the floor. Maybe I just got a bad set; i don't know. what I do know is that less than half of the letters in the bucket would attract to the surface. and less than half of those would actually stay in place and upright. Most of them just end up on the floor. Buyer beware. keep your receipt.

Nice letters - just too small to be safe for toddlers - but enough of them in this pack so my daughter can spell multiple words on her magnetic board or refrig. Nice carrying box.

I love this magnet set, enough letters to make words/phrases, nice carry case, and upper and lower case letters. My only issue is that the letters are too small for my two year old.

Some of the letters were missing magnets and the magnets were NOT that strong (Slightest touch makes the letters slide down). The letter sizes were kind of small, we were not looking for jumbo sizes but these were on the smaller side.

Bottom Line: For the price they charged, the letters & numbers could have been a bit larger and stronger magnets.

We bought these along with a magnetic whiteboard to use with our daughter's reading lessons. The set includes a good mix of upper- and lowercase letters. They get jumbled up the box, so it's helpful to have a second magnetic board (we use a baking sheet) on which you can store the letters you need for quick retrieval.

My 3 year old loves making "words" on the fridge with these. My only complaint is that some of the magnets that are in the pieces fall out.

I like these magnets but would never pay retail price for them. They are just not worth it. There is a lot of variety in this bucket of magnets but the quality, size and selection do not justify the price. They are comparable in size to those that you can find in a typical toy store. The size description must be for the upper case letters and the numbers only because the lower case letters and math symbols are half the size or smaller. Also, be aware these are a choking hazard. The lower case I's and J's and the ÷ symbol all have dots, like they should. So you may want to take these away if you are allowing smaller children to play with this product because the dots can be broken or chewed off and swallowed in seconds. I don't think this item deserves more than 3 stars unless it goes to seventy-five percent off retail price. Then, I might give it 4 stars.

Although the magnets aren't as strong as I'd like, they stay on the fridge just fine. My husband had fun leaving messages for me and I really loved seeing my 15 month old daughter pick up the M and say mama because I had showed her the letter one time. She did the same with the number 9. They do end up everywhere as she is quite a mess maker but easy to throw back in the container with lid that they come with. Have fun teaching your kiddos, they soak up everything!
