5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome little play camp stove
My 2 1/2 year old loves his little camp stove and can't wait to take it camping with him. I love the portability of it and how everything stores right inside. The grill sounds and boiling sounds with red light is great for realistic pretend play. Once the boiling is done, my son says "coffee's done". If you want to get your little boy or girl a realistic cooking unit...

1.0 out of 5 stars missleading ad!!!!!
I, like the other negative reviewer, purchased this item expecting it to be a REAL camp stove. I've just looked again at the ad and sure enough it does not state that this is a toy. Did any of you think that it might be appropriate to have mentioned that? I have no small children to give it to and considering what I got I never would have paid so much for a piece of...

My 2 1/2 year old loves his little camp stove and can't wait to take it camping with him. I love the portability of it and how everything stores right inside. The grill sounds and boiling sounds with red light is great for realistic pretend play. Once the boiling is done, my son says "coffee's done". If you want to get your little boy or girl a realistic cooking unit without buying those big kitchen units then this is it! I just added some Haba play food for him to play with and he's been having a blast cooking. I only wish it came with a pot vs just a skillet, but still a great value that will get lots of play time.

We got this for our 4-yr. old grandson. He was leaving on a 200-mile trip when he received it, and played with it the entire way. His mom likes the convenience of storing the pieces inside the stove when not in use. Sturdy construction.

My 3 year old is really enjoying this stove. He LOVES to pretend to cook and this was a great "boy" alternative to a play kitchen! The only negative I have is that I anticipated it being a metal box and tin coffee pot and pan. They are all plastic- makes no difference to him, just me. On the plus side, two plastic blue mugs and plateS are included in the set and that is not mentioned in the description or shown in the picture. What a great surprise!

My son loves this grill. He enjoys the sounds it makes and the storage space in the bottom. He loves pretending to grill when his daddy is grilling.

We bought this for my great nephew's 4th birthday. He loves it. He loves to use his "cooker" when his mommy cooks and he is taking it with him when he goes camping. We did buy some pieces of food separately so he would have something to cook. Great toy!

Its OK for price I paid - but it would have been a better deal at $20.

It is exactly as shown - nothing more or less and the burners flash orange and make a noise - not sure what its supposed to sound like, but the kids like to play with it.
Bottom is good for storage but it is not attached to the stove permanently so now the stove tends to be its own thing with a green storage box floating around. Need to find away to hinge on this thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great TOY, November 29, 2011
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars

This is a great little toy that my 3 year old and my 4 1/2 year old girls love to play with. They love camping with us and now can pretend to cook! Big plus is all the pieces fit inside the bottom of the stove for easy transport in and out of the woods. It seems pretty self explanatory to me that this is not a real camping stove. First of all, it states right in the product description that it's recommended for ages 36 months to 6 years. I wouldn't let a 6 year old use a real camping stove.

Product Features

*Invites children to act out camping adventures and family barbeques
Features 2 light-up surfaces with realistic sizzling and boiling sounds
Includes coffee pot, pan and 4 utensils; all pieces are plastic and store neatly in a carry-along case
Stove measures 11 3/4"L x 6"H
Requires 2 AA batteries (not included)

Bought this for my 14 month old son (have b/g twins) he LOVES IT. He loves turning the knobs to turn the sound on, when the sounds stops he stops cooking and turns them again. We've had this for 4 months now (now 18 month twins) and he still loves playing with it all the time, my daughter like the coffee pot best. He's more into the cooking thing than her at this point. I actually bought this at the "toy" store for half the price listed here and it came with food, bread, burgers, hot dogs, 2 coffee cups & 2 plates...much better deal well worth what I paid.
