Creswell's third edition is a helpful reference for both graduate students and practitioners who are interested in conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research. This book provides step-by-step methods in data collection and analysis, helping one avoid common mistakes in research, and helping one increase the reliability and validity of a study. In this book, a discussion of different theories and research designs assists the reader in selecting the framework of the study. This is a practical and easy to read book with an excellent chapter on action research, which is especially beneficial to K-12 educators. As a doctoral student, I find this book extremely valuable.

I had to take a research class for my Masters degree. I appreciate this book because it follows one person through their research process. It breaks it down and makes it understandable. It is great for a person that has never had to do formal research.

This research book is great! It is easy to comprehend, and explains thoroughly the material. This book really prepared me for my next step in research!!

I've read quite a of educational research texts (Fraenkel & Wallen, Mertens, etc.) but this is the best one I've come across so far. The writing is clear and simple, but not pleibian. Worth buying!

My binding fell apart. I bought it new!! The pages are coming out one at a time. This is a book I have to use over the next four years of my program. I wish I would of purchased the book at a nearby store!! I have to research how to return it on AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It is not as easy as driving to the store! The book itself is good, but I am very unhappy with the quality of construction!
