This book not only provides a thorough discussion of the topics included, but also provides a wide variety of tools and resources for the reader. It is visually packed with attractive text features, outlines before each chapter, definitions enhanced on the side of the pages, wonderful examples along the way, tables, consumer tips at the end, websites, etc. This book becomes a teacher all by itself.

This was a required text for a class in my master's program, and while it's not a 'fun' read, it is very informative in the types of research, research design, and the components of various types of research including participant selection, whether a study is considered quantitative or qualitative, and how to write a literature review.

Sure, these kinds of textbooks can tend to be fairly dry...especially the first chapter. Even so, I believe that this author has attempted (and succeeded for the most part) in trying to make this subject relative and interesting. What there is no doubt here is that the information in here is quite useful and knowledgeable.
This is a very good resource for those looking to understand what Researching truly entails and how to conduct it.
