Safe and Humane Dog Training

Assembled in the USA

Unlike a regular shock collar, Educator training collars use the lowest levels of "blunt" stimulus to improve behavior and reduce the stress of owning a dog. These are the most reliable and advanced dog training collars available in the world. Every Educator dog training collar is built to the highest quality standards and is tested to withstand the most extreme environmental dog training conditions. We fully assemble each Educator dog training collar and test all of our products in the USA.

Stress-free Blunt Stimulation is Superior to Shock Collars

Educator collars use proprietary stimulation that's "blunt", not "sharp" like a traditional shock collar. This is less stressful for the dog, while still providing sufficient incentive for the dog to comply with your commands. Educator dog training collars provide the highest and cleanest stimulation available to control the most stubborn dogs, even in prey drive.

Dogs
COS: Just the Right Level of Stimulation for Every Dog

Educator has innovated the use of customized low level stimulation to achieve superior dog training results without placing undue stress on the dog. Our advanced COS (control of stimulation), employed with all Educator dog training collars, provides the owner the ability to finely tune the stimulation level for all the different temperaments of dogs. COS improves training results and provides a better dog training experience for the owner and dog alike. Dogs properly trained with Educator collars typically never vocalize discomfort, jerk their heads or experience the fear of the training collar commonly found with imported shock collars. The stimulation dial can be adjusted from level 0 to 100 easily and safely, without the risk of over stimulation. The patented "lock and set" feature allows the user to lock in the best stimulation level without risk of accidentally increasing the stimulation. This COS technology is accomplished by our patented voltage-to-amplitude conversion technology employed on all Educator dog training collars.

An Extra Boost when Needed

For situations when you really need to get your dog's attention, there's an additional boost feature which provides more distractive stimulation. This boost level is settable between 1 and 60 on most models.

Fast and Reliable

Educator has developed the most reliable and fastest wireless link in the dog training collar industry. When you push a button on an Educator product, the training collar responds instantly. Only trust the best for your best friend.

Innovative Ergonomic Design

With its ergonomic "stopwatch" design, you don't even have to look at the transmitter, allowing you to watch your dog at all times. The transmitter also controls a tracking light which allows the user to flash or continuously light up the training collar receiver for locating a dog after dark. A beeper can be turned on to help locate a lost transmitter. The waterproof transmitter even floats, so don't worry if you drop it in the lake. The convenient night blue LCD displays used on all Educator products provide the user an easy way of knowing the stimulation level in all conditions.

Humane, this is an excellent tool for training and brining a dog under control.

Working nights I also like the lights on the collar and the ability to turn them off is good too.

He responds very well to this collar, particularly to the "tapping sensation" vibration feature.

I've used various electric training collars for over 20 years. During that time they've steadily improved--more features, smaller sizes. Sort of like mobile phones.

(Prices, though, have stayed about the same for the better models, which means that inflation-adjusted they are a little less expensive as the years pass.)

About two weeks in, this model has performed well.

I initially thought that the vibration stimulation would provide a similar corrective effect to the audible tone warning used in other collars. Sadly this has not proved to be true. The dog (a Lab) completely ignores it. I wish I'd opted instead for the tone model.

Otherwise the gear is relatively easy to use and as effective as you'd want. The stopwatch-like transmitter fits nicely in the hand, and is clearly of high quality construction. You'll quickly learn which of the three buttons you want to hit without looking at them.

The only shortcoming is that the collar's on/off function is via a magnetic rather than a physical switch. This eats into the time required to turn the collar on and off, since you must bring the transmitter and collar together in a precise way to activate or deactivate the receiver. I suppose that this eliminates the potential for the dog bumping into something and accidentally turning off the collar, but it's still an inconvenience.

Battery life has been decent so far. We've used it daily, turning off the collar but leaving the transmitter on during the day, and have needed to recharge once, with another recharge likely coming soon with moderate usage.

Definitely a step up from anything at Pet Smart and similar chains. The only competition would be TriTronics, which I've also used and find exemplary.

I was given a 6 month old Doberman who had been through multiple owners because he was "high energy, unruly, uncontrollable." That may sound like most dogs but this went to the point of aggression towards humans who attempted to tell him no, or off if he was on the couch. If I walked him and we came across another dog, he would lose it to the point of turning on me if I restrained him in any manner. I got bit twice. He needed help, bad. I could see he had tons of potential. He is a gorgeous red Doberman, his problem was that no one had ever put any effort into him. He had no clue how to act. Naturally starting this process at 6 months had it's complications. He wasnt a little puppy that could be pushed around. I started first with pinch collars, etc. This made tremendous differences but he learned really quickly that if he was off the leash he could do as he pleased, tearing up the house, chasing the cat. This collar fixed that almost over night. I've had him for three months now and this collar for a month. With careful use it is a miracle worker. You absolutely positively have to have a plan and work this in to how you train though. This alone will not fix your problems but it has huge possibilities. I can now take my 9 month old Doberman out in the yard with our free-range chickens and goats and he keeps his distance and follows me. I can make him lay down in front of them, walk to the opposite side of the yard, and call him to me, no problem. Note again, this is through careful training, not just shocking the dog because you get mad. 95% of the time the vibrate or tap button takes care of the situation. That's just a vibrate sensation on his neck, no shock.Read more ›

I purchased this product for a very strong, high prey drive male German Shepherd Dog that just didn't respond obediently in certain situations. His obedience was great 90% of the time until there was a competing distraction e.g. deer. Reward/treat based training only goes so far with a dog that has an overwhelming prey drive.

So about the collar...it's an excellent product. I really like the design and wanted to buy something made by a USA company. I have not been disappointed. Its quality is evident in both the receiver and transmitter. It conceals nicely in your pocket and ergonomics are great. It's very intuitive and provides feedback to the dog as either stimulation or vibration (pager feature is awesome and extremely helpful for getting attention and interrupting behaviors which is not found on most e-collars).

Unfortunately for me, because of my dog's strength and desire to chase prey, I had to add an additional receiver to the collar for added power as he fights through even the biggest corrections sometimes. But the customer service I received from the manufacturer was second to none and they made every effort to make sure I had what I needed to succeed. The owner personally contacted me to correct the issue. I would recommend this collar to anyone seeking a higher level of control on their serious sport/working dog. This product is right up there with Dogtra and Tri-tronics and they will go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. Do not hesitate to buy.

Ok- here's why I gave 3 stars instead of 5... BATTERY LIFE is awful!! I LOVE LOVE everything about this E-Collar BUT the battery life- I spent $200.00 for a reliable tool for my Doberman Pinscher, I've had this for about 8 months -don't ever over use it but rely on it EVERYDAY for training... I have to know that my training collar is going to last me at least a full day, which this one does not now- at first it lasted 2 days before I had to plug it in and charge but now not even a whole day?? Now I have to think about purchasing a new E-collar because I need it to last longer than a few hours before its completely dead (so frustrating for going out of town, to the park or hiking!!!) The system itself and the way you can throb and not shock is such an amazing feature along with the light that you can use at night to keep track of your best friend- I can go on and on with the pros of this device! I loved it so much I got one for my sisters pup- and even suggested it to my breeder *** but it should have lasted me longer than 8 months for the price!! GRRRR
