Not as complete as advertised,

Sometimes a bit wooden, this is still an excellent introduction to Schillebeeckx for its level of detail and references.However, the description on the Amazon page for this book suggests it is a complete biography of Schillebeeckx. Not so. This book ends with the Second Vatican Council and some time shortly thereafter. None of the subsequent controversies between Schillebeeckx and the CDF are covered at all. The book is described in more tail as Part One of Borgman's biography. |
