These cards have a smooth, lovely feeling in your hand, and the artwork is adorably sweet. The game is simple enough for very young children, and still fun as they get older - basically Old Maid in reverse - you hope to end up with the Fairy Queen. We've had the game for a few years and none of the cards are dog-eared or show any wear, although it is played with a lot! I recently ordered a new game because we've lost a few of the cards here and there. And I love the little box the game comes in - it's very sturdy and makes it easy to take the game along when you travel.

I am absolutely taken by this game company. They put out some of the cutest and prettiest card games for children that I have ever seen. They use a heavy cardstock so the games are durable. I have found a lot of these games at Tuesday Morning for 1/3 less than what they sell for here on AMAZON. If you can find them at your local store its worth digging around for. I go several times a week so I tend to pick up the trendy toys for gift giving. Also some are available at The Land of Nod, check them out too but they are usually priced much higher.

Overall I am very pleased with the quality and style of these cards. They leave a feeling of nostalgia in my mind when I see them. Your children will love to play with them as much as mine does and also the neighborhood children. Oh! It's great for rainy days or evening fun.

I agree with the other reviewer...I fancy this company as well! They have the most beautifully done games, cards, etc. and my daughter just loves them. I bought these to take on vacation and her cousins wanted them as well. I usually buy eeBoo and Haba toys for family and friends' children and the parents always tell me how much they loved their gifts. Great price, too!

This is a really cute twist on the classic game 'Old Maid'. Instead of losing if you have the Old Maid at the end of the game, if you have the Fairy Queen you win. There are also directions for two other ways to play (memory type version and adding the points on the cards at the end). The card stock is thick and sturdy, the illustrations are sweet and lovely. I've been really impressed with the quality of card games offered by Eeboo and this game is no exception. Would definitely buy again.

Found these locally so bought a few sets for gift stashing. Beautiful cards, and different from same 'ole same 'ole....
