5.0 out of 5 stars Spooky stories that are perfect for new readers!, October 5, 2000
By A Customer
If your younger elementary aged child is looking for a spooky thrills, this is a great book to buy. The well written stories are very suspenseful and mysterious. Another great collection of spooky stories for beginning readers is I DARE YOU! STORIES TO SCARE YOU! by Kathleen Keeler (Scholastic, 1999). Working in the public schools, I've discovered that even children who are struggling with reading, gobble up these two exciting books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Youthful Frights., November 1, 2010
I have always loved Halloween and anything spooky. I had this book given to me in first grade and I loved it. I carried it around with me all year long and it was my most used book back then. I recommend it as it is creepy but not outright scary. It makes you think somewhat on how you behave as a kid as well. Great Book!
