Product Description

What's in the package?
The package includes 1 (one) unit EelVision Polarizer internal flexible foil polarization filter compatible with the GoPro© HERO3 housing only, including HERO3 Black, Silver and White. Accessory will not fit on HERO1 & 2 housings

How does a polarizing filter work?
A linear polarizer selectively allows polarized light to pass on a certain plane. That's what makes it different from a regular neutral density filter or a plain tinted film, as those will block all directions. Experiment holding this filter in front of a TV or LCD screen and rotating it! Polarized filters block most of the undesirable reflected light to reduce glare, thus producing true color saturation and dramatic effects.

How to install an eV Polarizer?
EelVision filters are easy to install and remove! There is no need to unscrew the lens and voiding the warranty. The polarization axis is easily indicated by the tab so you won't need to figure that out every time you have to (re)install them. The tab helps holding the filter in place and keep it from rotating out of the polarization axis while in use.
Not recommended for diving or low light conditions.

I suppose it works. It's very expensive for just a tiny piece of film. Lost it in two days. I should have received 200 for this price.

The filter I received looked like it might have been damaged. There was some kind of irregular milky haze on one surface, and the alignment tab was kinked, so that when folded as per instructions, it broke off. The filter was curved like a potato chip which combined with the broken tab made it nearly impossible to place accurately in the camera housing. The curvature appeared random, and not designed to orient the filter with the camera lens or housing in any way. I tried to remove the haze by gently washing it with dishwashing detergent, no improvement.

Image quality? Imagine placing a big greasy thumbprint on your sunglasses and then holding them in front of the lens while you snap a pic. Come to think of it, I've got a broken set of polarized clip-on sunglasses which I can use to make a far better filter!

There is one plus! The filter is so light and flimsy that it's taking up barely any space in the waste basket.

There are many, many better choices for your GoPro here. This is the cheap route, and chances are, it will make your Video look worse, like it did with mine. Difficult to insert, keep flat & clean, and almost impossible not to lose or break. I don't leave 1 star reviews often, but I do, it's for a very good reason.

Easy to use. Works well in the existing case without adding weight. Great under water. Would definitely buy another one

Great simple way to make great shots, but it is hard to position outdoors. Just need more practice, so that I don't put finger prints on lense.

See the little piece of plastic film at the bottom of the very last product picture? That's what you get for $9.95: a cheap piece of film that you lose immediately. Not a polarizer that fits over the waterproof housing as is implied by the first picture. Sending back without even opening the dime-bag it comes in.

Filter is a flimsy warped piece of plastic that is rather easy to loose. I bought it to try to make the camera lengthen the exposure, so I get a blurred propeller disk instead of strange curved sables of the propeller in the aircraft. It worked some. Biggest complaint is handling and not loosing the filter
