Livng in Canada and Bombay, January 25, 2012
This review is from: Een Zoon Van Het Circus (Paperback)
This book is in Dutch!
Docter Farrokh Daroewella comes regularly to Bombay. He is born here, has studies medicine in Viernna and lives in Canada. Farrokh has a love and hate relationship with India. When in Canada he misses India, but when in India he doesn't feel at home. He has a lot of children with disabilities in his practice in Bombay. He likes to be around little people. He wants to research there DNA and find out why they are little people. He comes across little people in the circus. One of them he has known for 20 years and he's now the chauffeur of Farroks' friend, a Bollywood actor
Twenty years ago Farrokh was in Goa with his family. He examined there two victims of murder. Now the murderer is around again. Together with the Bollywood actor Farrokh tries to find the murderer.
It took me a while to get into the story of "Son of the circus". I thought the beginning was written very slow. Farrokh doesn't come across as a sympathetic guy. After reading a couple of chapters the story gets a bit more interesting. There are a couple of plot twists to the end of the story, but I don't think this is one of his better books!
