Can someone explain why the American PSYCHOLOGICAL Style has superceded the Associated Press style guide? My husband was told to get the APA for his college writing classes. I thought he mis-understood, but just learned a colleague at a different school was told the same thing. Both are business majors. I thought the Associated Press (or MLA) were the preferred writing style guides.

Thanks.
