Effervescing is a stunning second album by Call Me Ishmael. Many musical influences can be heard, particularly by the likes of the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley. It is hard to put Call Me Ishmael into any musical category since their style is so varied...a spacey mesh of psychedelia, punk, and 21st century rock. Standout tracks are the title track (Effervescing), Fell Asleep in A Pool, and Catch the Drift.
