5.0 out of 5 stars Koffi is no joke
Some key songs in this 2 disc CD set are just awesome:
-Génération Bercy
-Effrakata
The other songs are also great too but these 2 are deadly. I think only Extra Musica can get close to this guy. If you liked "Loi" then you will love this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Koffi Needs to Stop Making The Same Record Over and Over
Why did this have to be a two record set? Koffi Olomide is definitely a great writer and performer. I realize that he is now swimming in money as a result of pedaling this formulaic, unimaginative stuff. Koffi has definitely settled into a formula, please don't tell me this is simplly Ndombolo. As long as people are buying and celebrating this as great Congolese music,...

As long as people are buying and celebrating this as great Congolese music, he'll continue to give them what they want. I have some pre-Ndombolo records from Koffi that I absolutely love and treasure. I love his voice and he is capable of writing the best music. Now that you've got all the money, Koffi, take a chance and do something different or you're going to end up the Donna Summer of Congolese music instead of the Bob Dylan of Congolese Music. I noticed that even Martin Sinnock, in his column in The Beat, finally wrote something critical about Koffi's repetetive record production. As much as I love Martin Sinnock's writing, prior to that article, he seemed to be stuck on the same bandwagon as everybody else who reviewed this record as something great.

He is the best. The creater of Ndombolo. And now he start a new style again. The beat is more cool than you can emagine. It is impossible to sit still when it's drivin'.
Don't even think to buy this album. Just do it and be Happy

When I first listened to this album I only heard disk 1 which I enjoyed thoroughly, after I had borrowed a copy from a friend. Something though told me to buy my own copy and boy, it was the best decision that I ever made in a long time. Disk 2 is even better than the first one. All the songs on this album are unique and there is no more of that repetation chants stuff synonymous with this this genre whereby you hear the same choruses on all the songs on an album over and over. If you hate skipping songs on a CD then you'll enjoy this one because there's nothing to skip. It's my best Koffi effort yet!
