4.0 out of 5 stars It works perfectly with iPod touch!

2.0 out of 5 stars Clear signal, but changing stations is difficult
It's difficult to figure out what radio station you're listening to. A radio station is indicated on the ipod screen, but it's not necessarily the right radio station. To figure out what station it is, I turn the radio off and then turn it back on. It can be frustrating if you want to change stations constantly. The signal is generally clear though.

My goal was to be able to control my new iPod touch's (2G) playback and volume without having to look at it, due to the lack of physical buttons. You know, for times like when I'm working out and such. I ended up buying this gadget very unsure if it would work, for various reasons, the main ones being: lots of websites saying that this wasn't possible with iPod touch; lack of websites reviewing this product; and the fact that the manufacturer is completely unknown.
However, I can say that it works just the way I need. You can play/pause, change the volume, and go to the previous/next song. You can also plug the earphone directly into it so it acts like an extension. It has also a FM function that I frankly never tried because it doesn't matter to me.
The only downside for me is that it really looks very cheap. It's not ugly, it just looks like a bad "Made in China" product that you got in a Dollar Tree store.

3.0 out of 5 stars Listening in the dark!, September 22, 2008
This review is from: Eforcity FM Radio Remote for Apple iPod 3G/ 4G / iPod Mini / iPod Photo / iPod nano / iPod (video) / iPhone / iPod Classic / iPod Touch, White (Electronics)
Both the radio and the remote control work fine in my ipod touch, but the station does not appear in the display, so that unless you always listen to your favourite station (fortunately, this is my case) you will have a hard time with this device. Even though it is announced in the wrapping, I still haven't figured out how to memorise stations. True, it is very cheap. But I think it is time that the users of ipod touch had an original radio accessory! I am willing to pay more for a device that is up to what an ipod stands for!

I bought this as a cheap fix for an iPod Video with a broken headphone jack. First, I lost the left channel, then the right. this product works for this. It does look cheap, and the two halves of the unit came apart accidently, but were easy enough to put back together. I like having the radio, the instructions aren't the best, but once the stations are memorized, it works fine. It's nice being able to keep the iPod in my pocket, and pause/play from the remote. For $11 this is working fine.

The only negative is that it seems to draw the battery down quickly. It seems to draw power when connected, even when the iPod is sleeping, or even turned off. I'm still researching this, but you may need to unplug it when not in use.

An alternative is the Griffin iPod FM (2nd gen), which at this writing, was on sale at the Griffen site for $20.

I buy this product thinking that for the price so cheap would work more or less, and that maybe the radio stations would not have good sound and reading other reviews that do not deploy the number of the station in order to find ipod stations. I have an ipod classic 160g and my surprise is that this one works more than well, has good coverage of radio, it displays the number of the station in the ipod, stores up to 9 stations (enough for me) and quite comfortable to use, no will be afraid buy it, the brand apple is 100% more expensive and works just like

1.0 out of 5 stars Drains battery power, March 5, 2009

I wanted a simple set of buttons to control my iPod Touch. Just pause, volume, and next/previous. This looked perfect.

Unfortunately, it has problems. First, the connection isn't good ... the maximum volume is less than the native volume, and it will drop by 30% randomly. Jiggling the connection didn't really help. Second, and much worse, use of this remote will cause the iPod's power to drain in about an hour. Even if the iPod is off.

Oh - I never did turn on the FM transmitter. That battery problem is without transmitting.

I bought this for those times when I am on the bus, it is cold outside, and need to control my iPod from within my coat as I carry it around. Well, I have to say this thing lasted about 2 weeks before the rear clip broke off. I like the controls and the ease of use, but the construction is cheap and not very sturdy. The FM radio function works well, but the flimsy construction, makes this a poor choice people on the go. Look elsewhere.

doesn't work nearly as good as the official apple adapter. Doesn't pick up radio stations all that well. sets your master volume on your ipod to a capped level if you use the remote volume buttons.

Didn't work at all, if I had spent any more money on it I would return it, as it is it's a paperweight that way too light. It was cheap so I'm not out much money, easy come easy go...

Just out of the box and it and it does not even work! I plugged it in and it wouldn't even let me change stations it was just stuck on static. Don't be fooled, yes its cheap (and I am a real bargain hunter) but no worth the risk!
