Buyers beware! This would have been a great product at a great price, except for one glaring fault--this is not a stereo adaptor.

Nope, it's mono sound only, and Eforcity doesn't seem to want to admit it. I tested it with several stereo headsets as well as two Nokia phones, using WAV files, MP3 files, and even the built-in radio, and the sound is pure mono instead of stereo.

Contact with Eforcity was pointless--they sent me replacements (I had ordered an extra for a friend to use on his phone, since the price was great), and sent the exact same item. I gave them every chance to explain, and they simply stopped responding to my e-mails. And it seems they won't even do the honorable thing and change the product description here on Amazon.

So if you're looking for a cheap mono adaptor, this is a decent choice. It stays firmly in place in the Nokia pop port, and seems solid enough with various headphones plugged in. The sound is a bit flat and murky, but clear enough to please casual users.

But if you're looking to give your Nokia a second life as a music player, you're out of luck with this product. The lack of stereo as promised is a huge disappointment, and even the mono sound could use some improvement. Save your money and buy a better product!

If you prefer something more comfortable or already own quality headphones, you'll need this adapter to operate them. The sound is great after using this.

I wanted to use my Nokia 6230 as MP3 player in my car. This adaptor works great. It's a winner of bang for the buck.

The stereo headset is ideal for use in your office you can connect it to your PC and listen to radio. But requires some brute force to insert it into the nokia 3230. Also it does not have a direction telling you which side is up and which side is down. At first since it won't go into the phone I guessed I was using it upside down. But you may end up damaging your phone.. so watch out..

it works, but it does not have an amplifier so if your headphones do not then it will not get very loud of powerful, on my model of phone it was abnormally hard to get the adapter in but it holds well, you get what you pay for

After a months I used it, one day I had put it on the chair. Someday sits on that and the wire rip from one end!

Its okay. Took an effort to put it on, after a week the cord pulled from the nokia plug side.
Audio quality is pretty bad, it ruins volume control, so it is VERY loud, it disables the microphone, as I said feels very cheap and falls apart.

You would say this was what I could've expected for the price, but I paid $20 for shipping!!

the wires inside can break very easily so you have to be careful with how you handle it, but there's really nothing you can complain about if its only 1 cent, so for what its worth it's an awesome deal, just be sure to get more than one

This devise is not bad for the price you pay but its not stereo as advertised. It gives mono sound in both speakers and sound is low. You have to crank up the speaker all the way up to listen to mp3 songs in car. It does not have mic and so you can't use it for making calls from your nokia cell phone but you call hear the callers on the car spaeakers. Overall 3 stars for this adapter. You might be better off buying stereo adapter with mic for little more money.
