My teacher read the book to my class in the fourth grade. It was kind of wierd, especially at the end. It was a real good suspense. It is one of the best books that any of my teachers has read to the class.

Good, but not the best Goosebumps book,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Egg Monsters from Mars (Goosebumps Series) (Paperback)
Egg Monsters From Mars was a really good book. When I started reading it, I couldn't put it down and I read it in two hours flat! It has mystery, although it's not too scary and the egg monsters from mars turn out to be friendly. It's good but not my favorite goosebumps book. 4 stars.

Egg Monsters from Mars,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Egg Monsters from Mars (Goosebumps Series) (Paperback)
Egg Monsters from Mars was a pretty good book. The main character in this novel was a boy named Dana Johnson. Something crazy happend to him in this story. I liked some parts of the book and disliked other parts. Now here are some of my likes nd dislikes from reading this book.
The first thing I liked was at the very beginning of the book when Dana's sister Brandy had an egg hunt at her party that turned into an egg war between the party guests. i also liked the fact that Dana had a very adventerous time in this sory like the time Dr. Gray tried to kidnap him. Dr. Gray was a bad guy who told Mr. Johnson a lie that he had never seen Dana before when Mr. Johnson asked him this question at Dr. Gray's lab. i disliked that the author went a little too oveboard on the details about the egg monsters. i also disliked the book's ending left you hanging because dana brought his parents to the lband the egg monsters and Dr. Gray had disappeared and no reason was given. Overall I thought it was a good book. I would give it three out of five stars. L would recmmend this book for fourth graders going into fifth grade. You should read this book because if you do, you will probably like it, and you will want to read the rest of the books in the series of Goosebump stories by R.L. Stine.

Did you ever had an egg hunt in your backyard and you found something that's out of this world? A kid name Dana Johnson did in the book Egg Monsters From Mars by R.L. Stine. dana tried to show his egg to his parents but they would not to listen to him, so he kept it in his sock drawer. The next morning the egg hatched into a horrible yellow glob. Dana went to a lab two blocks away to find out what of creature it was. the scientist name Dr.Gray said it was an egg creature from Mars. Dr.Gray had had found four dozen of these egg creatures already. Dr.Gray is making Dana stay in the lab against his will with the egg creatures. The creatures can communicate with each other by chattering. The lab was cold and Dana thought he was going to get frostbite. There was no way out of the cold room that he was in . He had fell a sleep, and when he woke up he heard his father's voice. Then Dr.Gray lied to Dana's father, he said Dana wasn't there, but he was. Dr.Gray was going to do testing on Dana tomorrow morning. Dana was freezing in the lab. All of the egg creatures joined thogether to from a blanket to cover up Dana to kept him warm. The next Morning Dr.Gray was mad when he had found the egg creatures all over Dana inthe lab. The egg creatures started coming after DR. Gary, but I will not tell you what happens next so you will read this book. Are you excited to read Egg Monsters From Mars to find out what happens next? I invite and encourage you to read Egg Monsters From Mars by R.L. Stine.

NOTE: Revised Grammatically and Structurally on Saturday October 23, 2010.
If you have read any of the books within the Goosebumps series, this one is along the same lines of most of them, except rather than being creepy, it is more weird and goes in to the Sci-fi realm. The story revolves around a 12yr old boy named Dana Johnson, his life has never been except comfortable due to his bratty sister who gets everything she wants, no matter how unreasonable the request and takes great pleasure in humiliating her brother (a similar storyline is seen in book #18 The Cuckoo Clock of Doom). So when his sister ask for an egg hunt on her birthday and gets it, Dana isn't surprised, but what does surprise him is the bizarre egg that he finds. If you love Goosebumps or sci-fi/horror stories for children, there is no reason you shouldn't read this, though it is probably one of lesser entries in the series, it is still very much worth reading. God Bless ~Amy

I've read a lot Goosebumps books to my kids, and this one is probably one of my least favorite. Oh, it's not a bad book -- in fact, like most in the series, it has a plot that moves briskly along and is good for some mild entertainment.
But there were two things I didn't like. First, the title gives too much away. The first half of the book involves a boy who finds a mysterious egg and wonders what it is. But if you've read the title of the book -- and of course you have! -- there's no mystery. Second, I didn't like the ending much. It seemed rushed and left too many questions unanswered.

Dana's little sister wants an egg hunt on her birthday. Dana has to participate as well. He finds an egg but it's no chicken egg. It's green and it seems to be breathing. He keeps it and waits for it to hatch. The hatchling is a yellow blob. Eager he takes it to the science lab. Big mistake...
A nice little story about a boy and his...hatchling!
