I just got the cd today and I cannot stop listening to it. Aphrodite really lives his name down, "The King of Beats," in this CD. From track one to the last track, it is non stop grooves and beats. If you are the jungle, drum and bass type who likes to "Rock Da Funky Beat" (as my favorite track suggests), get this. If you are an all time lover of the cut "I Got Five On It" get this. I have not heard any mixes for these 2 songs like this, ever. Aphrodite, you did it again, and as long as you are around, I will forever buy this musik!

Aphrodite is the s**t, he's got all the phattest jump up tracks from the last couple of years on this joint. The definitive jump up album, also checkout jump up throwdown and showdown, they're imports but they're worth every penny. JUNGLE TO THE DAY THAT I DIE!

I just got this cd today and the whole cd is full of hard beats and lotsa drum! Aphrodite uses some of his mixes like Underworld and I Got Five On It, on here, and they are nice and shiny remixed! It has a bunch of good Aphrodite remixes and a bunch of other djs and artists that are really phat! Get this cd somehow!

Now that I have your attention...let me just say that this cd is AMAZING! A friend of mine introduced me to Aphrodite's URBAN JUNGLE and let's just say I am addicted. I had the pleasure of hearing him spin and words cannot describe the emotions that I felt. I love the *BOOM BOOM* that happens in each song. This cd is a hip hop lovers delight. If you love to dance then this is the cd for you. The bass lines are TREMENDOUS. You have to listen to this cd with decent speakers so that you can actually feel the bass. Then you can *shake shake* to each song.

My favorite song on there is I GOT FIVE ON IT remix. I liked the song before it was remixed but Aphrodite made this song incredibly wicked. I also love Roni Size's BROWN PAPER BAG, VINYL SYNDICATE, JUNGLE BROTHERS...etc etc. This entire cd is just a party, get up, jump up jungle cd. If this cd doesn't make you wanna dance then I don't know what to tell you!

GO GET THIS CD! If you enjoyed this cd, then you may also like BREAK BEATS-ULTRA OBSCENE, Dieselboy's A SOILDERS STORY and HIGHER OCTANE, and Paul Oakenfold's TRANCEPORT. There are so many other great cd's out there but these are great ones. =)

This CD is a clear 5 star. If you're into phat basses and driving beats it's a must. If you're just into drum & bass it's a must, too.

Aphrodite basically created the drum and bass sub-genre "jump-up" and this CD is a perfect example of it. Equals parts hip hop and DnB, Urban Jungle should appeal to fans of either style of music. While there are a few great tracks (Gangsta, Gangsta/Man of Steel/Dopeman), and a few classics (Rock the Funky Beat/Jungle Brother), there are also a few duds (One in a Million). But Aphrodite's seamless mixing more than makes up for the occasional weak track.

This album is one of his greatest. But the new one is the best. Track number seven "Man of steal" was writen for me.....Atlanta loves you Aprodite....NeXiS13..The one taking your picture at the rave on 10.10.99

I love this CD, love Aphrodite, and this is a great example of hip hop influenced jungle from the mid to late 90s.

The beats were good in this one one of the better mixes I've heard. I was not disappointed, but its not exactly on the hit list...

This is a kickass jungle mix. Pop it into your car stereo and hit the road - watch for cops because you will be speeding in no time!!! Also be aware - you won't be able to stop dancing when you are waiting at the redlights, much to the amusement of your fellow commuters! But who cares!!!!! If you are looking for some high energy and solid beats that will send your spirits soaring, you can't get any better than this! "Cause I'm a Jungle Brother - a Jungle Brother!"
