5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Resource
The most complete rendition of the Rite of Memphis. It is a fascinating account both historically and for the beauty of the rituals.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rare book on Memphis Rite of Freemasonry
Don't bother looking elsewhere for this book, you're not likely to find it. I've found that Kessinger Publishing has many many books you won't find elsewhere.

This book offers a rare glimpse into what was going on in the obscure Memphis Rite of Freemasonry around 1870. Burt, the Grand Master of the Rite, defends retaining 96 degrees in the Memphis Rite when the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Rare book on Memphis Rite of Freemasonry, September 6, 2000
This review is from: Egyptian Masonic History of the Original and Unabridged Ancient and Ninety-six 96th Degree Rite of Memphis (Paperback)
Don't bother looking elsewhere for this book, you're not likely to find it. I've found that Kessinger Publishing has many many books you won't find elsewhere.

This book offers a rare glimpse into what was going on in the obscure Memphis Rite of Freemasonry around 1870. Burt, the Grand Master of the Rite, defends retaining 96 degrees in the Memphis Rite when the French Grand Lodge wanted to reduce it to 33 degrees.

Interesting reading for those with a taste for Masonic history.

3.0 out of 5 stars Memphis is not the true egyptian rite, February 16, 2007
This review is from: Egyptian Masonic History of the Original and Unabridged Ancient and Ninety-six 96th Degree Rite of Memphis (Paperback)
Memphis is not the true rite of Egypt ! Why ? because these degrees are pure creation from nothing by Marconis de Negre. A joke for children. The true egyptian rites will give you the Arcana Arcanorum from the Scale of Napoli : teachings and practice about internal Alchemy and Laboratory Alchemy inherited from Ancient Gnostics of Alexandria ... May be you can obtain the A A with the Misraim Rite or the Gold und Rosenkreuzer Rosicrcians or the degrees of Magister Templi and Magus of the Golden Dawn...
