Book Description

May 1, 1998
At first glance Jeannie Satre's life looks like any other mother: married, children, home in the suburbs, a mini-van and occasional trips to the family cabin near Yosemite. But she and her family re anything but typical! Jeannie and her husband Neal have dedicated their lives to raising special children from around the world. Twin boys born to them were followed by girls from Korea, children from Mother Teresa's orphanage in India and then a girl from their home town! Various traumas ranging from a snake in the laundry room, to the children's hospitalizations, and then to facing her own adoption issues and serious breast cancer risk have kept Jeannie's life challenging and eventful.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Jeannie Satre has written a wonderful book...an intensely personal story about faith and family. Like Jeannie, the book is transparent and honest about the joy, the pain, the mourning, the celebration, the agony and the ecstasy about living life to the very edge. If you are like me, your heart will be touched, inspired and challenged to reach out to the world in ways you never before allowed yourself to imagine. At the very core, Jeannie and Neal tell us life is to be spent, not saved, and always for the glory of God!" -- Coleen Townsend Evans, author, speaker
