A great song from when country songs were exactly that. Not like todays so called country which is hard to tell from the pop music played on the rock stations.

Most modern country music doesn't impress me as it seems even more demographically driven than modern rock (which is a yawner for me too). However there are exceptions, especially if something catches your attention and makes it more personal even for demographic fringers like me. I just retired and then remembered this song and went hunting for it to see if my memory was correct. It was, it fits, and it works for me. That's all that matters even if your mileage may vary.
