Book Description

February 1, 2007
Why was Alan Brading's French wife gunned down in a London street in front of him? Why don't the police seem interested even though he sees the murderer later at her funeral? What has this to do with events that took place in France during the last war? Is the real problem connected with Alan himself? He has to fight the authorities, his wife's family, the people in her home town and himself before he finds out the truth and gets his revenge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warning - this one will keep you up all night!, May 8, 2007
This review is from: The Eighth Child (Paperback)
I couldn't put this one down. Unlike many thrillers, the twists in this story are unpredictable.
I particularly enjoyed the way in which Mr Hillier has woven together recent French history with the modern day; the skeletons in the cupboard just won't let go! There is plenty of action, an element of romance and the psychological angle is intriguing, altogether a recipe for a great read.
