4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, a good, solid album, February 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ein Kleines Bisschen (Audio CD)
This album was creatively written and the lyrics are imaginative (if one can understand German). The opening and closing songs are both very good, however some of the songs are just so-so, nothing too exciting. I gave this album four stars because I loved the use of Clockwork Orange in it, how many other bands do something like that? I with-held a fifth star because I was not completely impressed with a few songs on the album. Yup, this is a rocking album, however it is better if you can speak/understand German whilst listening to it, and have read or watched Clockwork Orange at least once. This gives you better understanding of the content of the songs, the music, etc.
All-in-all, this is a very solid, well-made album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ein Kleines Bisschen Horrorcshau, December 9, 2003

Great if you understand Greman! The music is so-so but the story of Alex and his dissapointing life in the system is worthwhile. I like their style over all but did not enjoy their English lyric relases, they seem to lose something in the translation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Punk meets Classic Movie..., May 11, 2005
This review is from: Ein Kleines Bisschen (Audio CD)
Ein Kleines Bisschen Horrorschau (A little bit Horror Show) is Die Toten Hosen's interpretation of the Kubrick film "A Clockwork Orange". While this album is the reason that I learned German in Highschool, you do not need to know the language to understand the music. Alex de Large's struggle between his ultra-violent, rapist past and the "cure" that makes him ill at the thought of sex or violence comes through loud and clear. However, for those who like to know what it means, here is a rough translation.

Heir kommt Alex
1000 gute gruende (1000 good reasons)
Ein Schritt zuviel (A step too far)
Keine ahnung (No clue)
Die farbe grau (The color gray)
180 grad (180 degrees)
Mehr davon (More of them)
Zahltag (Payday)
35 Jahre (35 years)
Musterbeispiel (Example of a pattern)
Testbild (Test picture)
Bye, Bye, Alex

I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys an album that tells a story (ex: Pink Floyd "The Wall", Roger Waters "Radio K.A.O.S."). And for those who have a passion for classic punk and Beethoven, you have found a new love.
