We love Eitech products- and this kit is no different. The product contains very sturdy pieces, the box is designed to hold all of these pieces. The hexagon shaped box is great for storage as well- it does not take up a lot of space! The instructions are picture diagrams so children who cannot read will not have difficulty. Definitely will need a big helper/adult if you have a 4 or 5 year old trying to build- but a great project to team up with! Definitely recommend!

I just built the crane model with my 5 year old son and he enjoyed it. The parts are made of durable plastic and are excellent in quality. No worry about lead here. Every part fits together well. The instructions are graphic, so my son can follow since he doesn't read well yet. It was fun to get him to use the instructions to gather pieces and put portions of the model together. There is nothing like the halo that surrounds a kid when something clicks, like how to attach the sprokets to the base of the crane. I thought the snap together tractor track was really a nice touch. This set exposes young kids to gear concepts and has a great set of plastic tools to help build whatever your child imagines. A 5 year can use the set to build interesting things on his or her own, but it requires quality time with an adult or older sibling to make the models pictured on the box. And frankly, that's a plus in my eyes.
