First, I have to say that my son has only started to put this together, and so far, he seems to be having fun. The reason for the review before he is finished is that we were SO disappointed to realize that we cannot plug this in to a standard US outlet. It has a European plug (hence, the Made in Germany problem) and will need an adaptor to recharge. This is NOT evident in the product description, and if we had realized in advance that this was the case we would not have purchased it. Although it specifies it is designed & manufactured in Germany, I really feel that this disadvantage to an American market should be clearly highlighted. To make matters worse, I am from Europe but now living in the US, and it never occurred to me to question the plug, so if anybody should have picked up on this, it should have been me. Therefore, even though it looks like it could be a great toy, I am only giving it one star.
