This review is from: Ekko (Paperback)
Ekko does for ghosts what so many authors have done for vampires. Walker's protaganist CJ goes on a journey that is so enjoyable, and will hopefully be the first of many. Ekko, the title character, is like the most beautiful person you have ever encountered but never fully realized. This beauty will haunt, test and mystify CJ beyond every limit he know he had.
Walker's characterizations are like Orson Scott Card, his prose like a grown up Darren Shan with the linear nature and timing of Patricia Highsmith. One can only hope that will be the first of many in what is a wonderful read and an enjoyable trip. |
