The Alphabet, April 21, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: El Alfabeto: A Child's Introduction To The Letters And Sounds Of Spanish (Hardcover)
Being from a spanish speaking background I found the book to be very helpful in teaching my son the alphabet in spanish. It includes the very important but often forgotten letters ch and ll. In addition it includes a very helpful glossary. However, I found the way in which the letters were written phonetically to be inaccurate and feel that unless the teacher/parent is a spansh speaker, the book is too difficult to use as a resource. Overall, if used properly, this book can be a great way to teach the alphabet to beginners.

This review is from: El Alfabeto: A Child's Introduction To The Letters And Sounds Of Spanish (Hardcover)
This book has funny illustrations and silly words. It is written all in Spanish and deals with the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, LL, M, N, N~, O, P, Q, R, RR, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. I would recommend, however, that one knows Spanish or at least is willing to learn. It is not immediately translated into English although there is a glossary in the back.
