"El Diario de Juanes" offers a great look at the staggering talent of one of Latin music's biggest stars. Those with MTV-LA and MTV en Español will have seen much of the footage, but those of us without those networks will appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this Colombian rocker.

Included are eight music videos: Fijate Bien, Podemos Hacernos Dano, Nada, A Dios Le Pido, Es Por Ti, Mala Gente, Fotografia and La Paga.

Also included is the entire "Diary of Juanes" from MTV-LA. This all-access, behind-the-scenes program follows Juanes as he travels around the world filming music videos, promoting "Un Día Normal" and performing sold-out stadium concerts...all in the course of a few days. It's exhausting just watching Juanes keep up with his hectic schedule, but it becomes obvious he deserves his sucess...and that he's very grateful for it.

Other features include a photo slideshow, "Un Día Normal en Imágenes" and "Un Día Normal en Palabras (Words)".

I agree with the reviewer who wanted more live footage. The few brief clips of Juanes onstage show a passionate and energetic performer. Hopefully a live DVD is in the works!

This is an o.k. DVD,I mean there isn't any rare footage.all his videos are included( which we have seen so many time)but no Live perfomaces. I gave it 3 star becuase of the sound quality is good on the videos.
Juanes need to come out with a LIVE DVD for his fan to capture the essence of his talent.

I had seen the video "Fotografia" on TV in Buenos Aires. But where I live in the USA, I don't get to see any Latin music videos on TV so this DVD was a real treat for me. This DVD has three songs from JUANES' CD "Fijate Bien" and the rest from "Un Dia Normal." It helps kind of explain why JUANES swept the Latin Grammy awards for "Un Dia Normal."

The weakest videos on this DVD are "Nada" and "La Paga." The songs are great, but the videos aren't very good. "La Paga" is a poorly made computer generated cartoon.

My favorite videos are "Mala Gente" and "Fotografia." I especially like "Fotografia" since I am also a big fan of NELLY FURTADO. Her duet with JUANES is just outstanding. There's a short clip on the making of "Fotografia" with commentary by NELLY FURTADO.

The MTV diary backstage clips are interesting, but like the other reviewers, I am disappointed that no live concerts were included in this DVD. I would have given this DVD a 5-star rating if it included his live concert at The Rex in Buenos Aires. Hopefully, the next JUANES' DVD will include his live concerts because from the short tease clips on this DVD, he seems to shine in front of a energetic crowd.

I THOUGHT THAT THE DVD WAS GREAT, YOU REALLY GET TO KNOW THE KIND OF PERSON HE IS. I HAVE TO AGREE WITH OTHERS WHEN THEY IT NEEDED MORE LIVE CONCERTS, BUT STILL I LOVED IT AND I DON'T GET TIRED OF WATCHING. I WENT TO HIS CONCERT ON FEB. 27 2005 IN PR AND HE IS THE GREATEST PERFORMER I HAVE SEEN YET. HE PUT ALL HIS HEART AND ENERGY INTO IT. I JUST HOPES HE MAKE A DVD ABOUT "MI SANGRE" TOUR(THAT WOULD BE REALLY AWESOME).

I though the DVD is only OK. It is basicaly a documentary about his last album. If you are not a diehard fan, you will find some details about the artist that are not well known. But if you are one of those fans that research everything about this artist, you will not find any new information. I thought the DVD is lacking live perfomances where people can really appreciate the talent of an artist. I have seen Juanes live once, and honestly I thought he needs to project more energy. It may be that we was simply having a bad day, but I though he was to still as if he was not feeling the music.
Anyways, as I said in the title. If you are a diehard fan, you need to buy this DVD (and you probably will if you think everything he does is great without really judging the material), but for the fan that is interested in the music only, this DVD will not help at all. The only musical part are the videoclips from the album. Other than that, is a documentary.
Juanes is a great musician and if he is going to do a DVD, he needs to reflect that in it.

AND YOU CAN'T DESAGREE!!! JUANES IS THE DAM BEST!!! I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING HE DOES!!! INCULUDING THIS WONDERFUL DVD!!! I URGE YOU TO BUY IT!!! IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Que Porqueria de DVD, definitivamente perdi el dinero que gaste en esto, es un a boleta pense que por er juanes iba a encontar algo de calidad por lo visto me equivoque, jusnes en la musica es bueno pero los videos de el son un asco.
