The year was 1948, the recording artist, Charlie Palmieri, for the long defunct Alba Records. Probably Charlie's first LP as main performer. This Seeco Records re-issue contains ten(10) wonderful performed, mambo arranged melodies, but only eight(8) of them appeared on the original release by Alba Records. All the selections are instrumental, showcasing Charlie Palmieri's masterful talent on the piano, forcasting what was to come for the following three decades, arguably the best piano player of popular latin music of his times. On this recording, percussionist "Sabù" Martìnez, played the congas.
