I bought this margarita set for my friend, and she loves it! It makes a fun--and impressive--gift! The two glasses are really nice. Their blue rims are so pretty. We made margaritas together with the set and it was a blast. The metal tub came in handy at her next party too. She filled it with ice and kept sodas cold. Anyone who loves margaritas will love this set!

There are seemingly a bazillion "gift sets" you can choose from on Amazon.com and elsewhere. They all trumpet how terrific they are, and how impressed the recipient will be. In truth, most of the time the recipient is pleased to get the gift, but not really all that excited about the contents...Yeah, sure, the chocolate bon bons are good, or the cheese crackers are nice or whatever. But then there's the salami stick and the processed cheese food spread and...well, you get the idea.

Anyway, this is a gift set of a different color. You don't get much in the way of food--just a bottle of margarita mixer and a tub of salt. But the glasses are really nice and will likely find a permanent home in the recipient's collection. The metal tub this stuff comes in is actually big enough to be useful, for either chips or else (with addition of some ice) to cool down some beers...The margarita mix itself is of decent quality.

In all, this is the kind of gift I would prefer (over typical food baskets) to get myself, and hence it's the kind of gift I tend to give others...

Highly recommended, at least if the price is good...

I was really surprised when I opened the box and saw how much I got for only [$$$]. The tin tub is good sized and holds lots of ice; the container of salt will last for a multitude of margaritas, the mix is GREAT and the glasses are hand-blown in Mexico and beautiful. You absolutely cannot beat this for only [$$$].

The glasses are pretty cool, the tin bucket is big and nice. I got it for a major discount, and if you can, got for it. Fun stuff.

I actually bought this as a Christmas gift but kept it for myself! The glasses are so nice and the mix is so very yummmmmy! I used the tub to but chips in. Makes a really nice party gift or gift for yourself!

I must say the recipient really loved this tub. Just add alcohol and presto, Margaritas for 2! Enjoy.

Well worth the price ...and the quantity and quality is great.
