El hombre y la lluvia (los cuentos: 1988-1994) son doce cuentos que fueron escritos cuando el autor vivió en Perú y Japón. En ellos dibuja sus vivencias y pensamientos sobre la vorágine de la sociedad. Los personajes se enfrentan a sus ambiciones y miedos; un estudiante queriendo graduarse, un idealista convertido en escritor, un forastero en medio de la lluvia, las decisiones que debemos afrontar, el futuro que soñamos, cuestionamiento de nuestra existencia, la rutina de la vida diaria, realidades ignoradas, el mundo superficial, la búsqueda de lo desconocido, la soledad y la rebeldía.

Aunque esta colección de historias cortas incluye una variedad de caracteres, y situaciones; hay una experiencia universal que existe en cada historia y cada personaje del libro, que extienden la mano al lector y le proporcionan una oportunidad para la reflexión sobre su propia jornada en la vida.El escritor ha demostrado una habilidad perspicaz para sintetizar los conceptos intangibles y emociones de la experiencia humana y proporcionarles al lector una única claridad de expresión. The writer has demonstrated a keen ability to synthesize intangible concepts and emotions of the human experience and provide them to the reader with a unique clarity of expression. This is a book I would recommend for those who want to stimulate their thinking about the meaning of life.

Me gustó mucho los cuentos "El hombre y la lluvia" y "El Libro Abierto"...Tienen algo de tristeza e ironía. Soy de Lima, y encuentro en sus palabras esos sentimientos encontrados. Es un escritor diferente, es muy original.
