Scott, aqui en este libro los ayuda a los catolicos a apreciar lo que tenemos, nos acerca mas a nuestra Iglesia y nos inspira a aprender mas de nuestra fe, de nuestra pura tradicion. Una historia de convercion muy bonita a la Iglesia de Cristo, "la Iglesia Catolica". Recomiendo este libro a todo aquel que tenga hambre por la verdad ya sea catolico o protestante.

Este es uno de esos libros que todo cristiano "tiene" que tener, ya sea católico o protestante.

Llegó a mis manos una copia de él por un amigo que le había impactado. Me impresionó mucho y lo leí de tirón en una noche de domingo. Luego me hice de una copia para mí. Posteriormente le presté mi copia a un buen amigo protestante (nacido de familia protestante de tercera generación) y este libro fue una ayuda para que él decidiera convertirse a la fe católica. En noche de Pascua de 2,005 fue bautizado y en octubre de ese año recibió el sacramento de la confirmación por manos del Obispo. Una de las cosas que más me han impresionado es que aquellos protestantes que se convierten al catolicismo son buenos protestantes, en el sentido de que son personas que se toman muy en serio la fe y van al fondo del asunto y de sus vidas, que no se conforman con las respuestas clichés. Para el caso mi amigo se sorprendió al leer como nunca lo había hecho el capitulo sexto del evangelio de Juan, que no deja ninguna duda respecto a la presencia total de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo en el Sacramento Eucarístico.

Otra genialidad de este libro es que con una fantástica pedagógica muestra las diferencias entre Fe y Gracia, Sola Scriptura y Tradición y el reconocimiento bíblico de la herencia sacramental: Cristo encarnado en el seno de la Virgen que rompe la historia en dos y a partir de ese momento continúa presente misteriosa y físicamente en el pueblo que Él ha escogido para sí.

Lamentablemente muchos de nosotros no nos damos cuenta de la gran cantidad de riquesas espirituales que tenemos en nuestra iglesia, nunca estamos satisfechos con lo que tenemos y vuscamos otras maneras de saciar esta sed por la verdad y el amor, pero gracias al testimonio Scott Hahn, el regreso a casa es mas acogedora y dan ganas de interiorisar en la fe de nuestro Padres. Este libro lo recomiendo para todos aquellos que desean profundisar en su iglesia y han pensado en dejarla o quiere volver y no saben como.

Scott y Kimberly Hahn narran la historia de su conversion del protestantismo al Catolicismo. Explican el dolor y sufrimiento que les ocasiono su "camino a Roma" puesto que el era un ministro protestante y ella viene de una familia de ministros. Su historia me inspiro a profundizar en mi relacion con Dios y a conocer mas a fondo la ensenanza de la iglesia Catolica.

Sencillamente nos damos cuenta que nos falta mucho por hacer, mucho por crecer, mucho...! Y nos hace reflexionar que si queremos realmente profundizar espiritualmente debemos prepararnos mas. Es maravilloso, se los recominedo.

Un libro relata la historia de conversión al catolicismo de una pareja norteamericano presbiteriana. Scott y Kimberly se casan y Scott van al seminario donde estudia teologia Scott quiere servir al Señor como pastor y Kimberly colaborar con él la congregación , Scott como BUEN fundamentalista que era ,se consideraba a si mismo como un verdadero enemigo de la iglesia católica . Es una camino espiritual que transforma toda su vida; un camino de búsqueda de la verdad y aceptación de la voluntad divina, que culmina en la alegría de la vuelta a casa: a la Iglesia católica (Roma). Como todo pastor protestante teólogo para hacer este cambio , tenia mucho que perder a nivel económico al entrar a nueva iglesia. Quien ha escuchado tan solo una vez hablar Scott Hahn puede ver la profundidad teológica y el don sagrado de ser un buen Maestro de teología. En esta nueva travesía el nos muestra honestamente y con un
testimonio claro las razones Bíblicas que seria lo único que un buen teólogo no puede refutar ante el llamado personal de Dios a la conversión
El compromiso de Kimberly con los grupos Pro-vida le lleva a estudiar el tema de los anticonceptivos, condenados unánimemente por todas las iglesias protestantes solo hasta 1930. Scott se interesa por las investigaciones de Kimberly y las publicaciones sobre el tema serán el medio por el que llegan ambos a leer por primera vez a autores católicos. Scott Hahn encontró incongruencias en las doctrinas de la Reforma Protestante . Scott Comprende que el principio de SOLA FIDE Y SOLA SCRIPTURA no tiene fundamento bíblico. Great book regardless of your christian belief. You'll find great insight from a man who searched for truth that lead him through some difficult and wonderful experiences. I also love the fact that he lets his wife give her point of view and opinion on their spiritual journey. A must for any christian wanting to an in-depth search into their faith!

In 2012, Dr. Hahn was awarded the Fr. Michael Scanlan Chair of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990. He is the founder and president of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In 2005, he was awarded the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at St. Vincent Seminary (Latrobe PA), which he held through 2011. In 2002, he was awarded Pio Cardinal Laghi Chair of Catholic Theology at the Pontifical Seminary Josephinum (Columbus OH), which he held through 2004.

Scott graduated from Grove City College in 1979 with his BA in Theology, Philosophy and Economics (magna cum laude). He graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1982 with his M.Div (summa cum laude). Scott received his Ph.D. in Theology from Marquette University in 1995 (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). He has ten years of youth and pastoral ministry experience in Protestant congregations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Massachusetts, Kansas and Virginia (1975-85), and is a former Professor of Theology at the Dominion Theological Institute (Dominion, VA, now Chesapeake Theological Seminary). He was ordained in 1982 at Trinity Presbyterian Church (Fairfax VA). He entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil, 1986.

Dr. Scott Hahn was born in 1957, and has been married to Kimberly since 1979. They live in Steubenville Ohio and have six children and seven grandchildren.
