These "Jockey Elance" String bikini panties are made with same comfort, quality and coverage as the bikini panties, the only difference is the cut of the leg. They are cut all the way up to the cotton covered elastic waist band at the hip. There is about an inch of what may be considered the String part of the band.Still cute and sexy with the coverage in back that some of us still require, the cut of the leg, makes for a more slimming, tapered look. The waistband fits low enough to wear with moderately low waist pants. The cotton covering the waistband, which is nice and stretchy, adds more comfort.

I ordered the Pale Cosm Assorted and the three I received were a light rose color, a pale pink and what I'll call an antique ivory. The price may seem just a little high for three pairs, but this is the second time I've ordered the Jockey Elance brand because they have held their shape and color pretty well through numerous washings. I washed in cold, and I dried on low instead of the suggested medium temperature.

If you prefer a lower cut on the leg, I would recommend the Jockey Elance Bikini(as opposed to the 'string' bikini. I have also seen them in a French cut leg, which looks to be somewhere in between.

OOOOkay...so even though the world now knows what kind of underwear I wear, it's a product I thought worth a review.

I've worn these panties for years. They are comfortable, long-lasting, and attractive. Best of all, they never wedge up on me. Everyone needs cotton underwear, and as far as I'm concerned, Jockey makes the best. I will keep wearing these as long as they make them.

These panties fit and feel great. They never ride up in the rear, and they don't show above today's lower rise pants. I completely wore out my last 3-pack so I'm very glad to see these are still in production!

I need 100% cotton panties, but finding something low rise that did not show above my pants has proven nearly impossible. I have tried Hanes and other Jockey bikinis, and found them NOT low rise even when they claimed to be. Elance in the black color has been the lowest rise of all and works ok for both jeans and working out. They are not as sexy as I had hoped for, but at this point, I'll take what ever I can get. They are comfortable, true to size and of good quality.

This was originally a 4 star review. And the BLACK color I ordered still is, see above. However, I also ordered the pink/ivory/peach color combination because I loved the black so much. I was disappointed. I ordered the same size, and the package and tags say bikini, but they do not fit like the same pantie. They are baggy and the rise is much higher than the black, by 1.5 inches (AFTER washing in hot water and drying on high temp). These are not low rise as the description and box claim. These panties show above my MID rise jeans (when standing, I do not have to sit for them to show), and I don't mean they "peak". At least 3/4 of an inch shows in the back. In my opinion, these fit like high cut briefs, not low rise bikinis. I have tried so many styles to try to find LOW rise, 100% cotton underwear. I thought I had found something close enough to work in the black. This other color just doesn't cut it for me, and I am now hesitant to order more of the black. Will they fit like the first set I bought? Or will it be more wasted money? I will keep this order to wear while working out. They won't show under my karate uniform, but I have yet again wasted money one something that does not live up to its description or my expectations. I don't think expecting consistency between colors is too much to ask. I mean come on, a 1.5 inch difference in the rise?

I have been using this string bikini for over 30 years....then, department stores stopped carrying them because they "don't sell as well". Now, I found them online and I am back wearing them. They are ALL cotton-therefore breathable and comfortable besides looking good on you as they are nicely-styled (read "sexy", the picture with model's tummy facing the right does them more justice). My dermatologist recommends all-cotton panties. And these are that and look great..NO granny panties! The cotton-encased elasting band is VERY comfortable, keeps its elasticity even when the product wears out finally and protects skins afflicted with latex intolerance (my problem) or allergy. The bikni over all is sturdy and lasts and lasts. I highly recommend them. I thank Jockey for still making them.

Yes these are the best. The cotton is very comfy forgot I had them on. All day wear for work and play. Nothing fancy just 100% cotton and basic string bikini. Thats what makes these panties the best. Basic and 100% cotton. No bunching, digging, or ridding. These unde's stay put. The only time you'll know you have them on is when you have to go. What more can I say! I Love Jockey's String Bikinis.

These are delightfully snug without being tight. They're all cotton - very important to me. And they're utterly comfortable despite their sleek appearance.

I've sometimes been tempted by panties with witty graphics or flirtatious lace, but they never fit as well as my Jockeys. I end up throwing them away.

This particular style comes in size 4, the only size petite enough for me. I used to buy this underwear in department stores, but when my local source stopped carrying the smallest size, I turned to Amazon. I've been well supplied ever after.

I recommend this style to any woman in search of the perfect fit.

Jockey bikinis are by far the best bikini panties around. I've tried several different string bikinis, but these last longer and are most comfortable. Jockey discontinued the string bikinis for men several years ago. I switched to these and have not been disappointed. I wear a size small(28-30) in the mens bikinis and size 4 in these panties are a perfect fit. They fit well below the hips, like a bikini should. They have plenty of room up front and cover just enough in the back. They are my favorite underpants to sleep in. They look great and are very comfortable with jeans, slacks, sweats and shorts. They cost a little more than other brands, but are worth the price.
