1. COLD THERAPY: Store the cap/mask in the freezer for a minimum of two (2) hours. It may be left in the freezer indefinitely until ready to use. It will remain flexible even at -20°F. Remove the mask prior to defrosting the freezer. Note: Always store products in a plastic bag while in freezer. 2. HEAT THERAPY: The most convenient method of heating the mask is in a microwave oven. Suggested heating times: 600-700 watt microwave: 20-30 Seconds per side, 1100 watt: 10 Seconds per side. Note: all microwaves vary in heating and may have "hot spots". Be cautious when heating. Wait one minute (60 seconds) before using. The mask should feel WARM to the touch, NOT HOT. Hold the mask firmly against the skin for 30 seconds before re-heating. If the mask is not warm enough, heat in 10 second increments and rotate the product each time. The cap/mask can also be heated in a conventional oven at 250°F for 10-15 minutes. Place mask on a cookie sheet or baking dish in the center of the oven. Do no allow straps to touch the heating element. Flip the mask after 6 minutes for even heating. 3. DO NOT GET THE PRODUCTS WET: The gel will absorb water and swell. If the product becomes damp, lay it on a flat surface and allow it to fully air dry before continuing use. Do not use wet towels under the gel. 4. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the outside cover and hand wash in cold water and mild soap. Hang up to dry. Wipe the white inner cover with a damp (not wet) cloth using mild soap or disinfectant. Allow the product to fully air dry before continuing to use.

The Elasto-Gel Cranial Caps are hot or cold packs designed to provide non-chemical headache relief and treatment of migraine headaches, hypothermia, and hyperpyrexia or heat stroke. The cap fits the contour of the head to give heat transfer uniformly over the whole area. The gel base of the cap is covered with a four-way stretch Lycra nylon fabric to allow the cap to fit the shape of the head to be comfortable. Great for a migraine, but too heavy,

This product works wonderful for migraines, but is just too heavy! I have Fibromyalgia and I found it uncomfortable and I had to return it. It was too heavy for my head and with the Fibro, trying to hold it up made my neck muscles kill!! But, I have other products that are similar and you have to store them carefully! Lay it as flat as you can and in the same way it came. I put mine in 2 ziplock bags to prevent any freezer smells and then I put that in Tupperware. Be very careful with the Velcro!! It will stick to the spandex type material and fray it. Check out all the other products, they have everything for every muscle group! This is worth the money as long as you intend on taking good care of it and have a really strong neck! Customer service for these guys is great also!
