It clicks only when my arm is bent 45 degrees. However,it does keep me conscious of the fact that I need to keep the arm straight. I have achieved some success, but old habits die hard. I am sometimes able to stop in the middle of my back swing because I have heard the device click. If your are having a problem with keeping the left arm straight, I would try it.

This device is supposed to train you to not break your elbow on your backswing. Some guys are beyond training and cannot change. That includes me. One of these days I'll learn not to overswing but until then ...
