I bought these for my 5 year old who is learning to roller skate. They are very poor quality. The plastic is very thin (think disposable plastic cup), and I don't believe that the cups on the elbow and knee pads would prevent harm from a fall. The wrist guards bend much more than they should. I could split them in half with little effort, so I don't believe that it could prevent a wrist break from a hard fall.

I'm sorely disappointed in this product. I ordered these pads to go with my daughter's first pair of roller skates, and the wrist guards fell apart after a day (and NO FALLS... the stitching along the side simply fell out). The elbow and knee guards are flat -- not molded to the shape of the joint; simply held on by velcro. My advice? Pay $10-15 more for quality, moulded guards to be used for rollerblading or skateboarding.
