Jeremy Soule and Malukah already make The Elder Scrolls soundtrack a must buy. I was not familiar with Brad Derrick who composed 90% of the soundtrack, but his work on this score in fantastic.

I'm, not one to buy many game soundtracks, but at (currently) $8.99, this was a no brainer and well worth a buy.

I actually am not a fan of the game, and decided not to buy it. But I did like the music I had heard during the beta weekends. It's got great atmosphere. I am fond of the prominent bass violin and cello, as well as the choir vocals (no lyrics). I have a few other MMO soundtracks, like World of Warcraft, Rift, and The Secret World. The Elder Scrolls Online soundtrack holds its own with all of them.

If you like cinematic scores and similar modern orchestral music, this will be an excellent addition to your collection; even if you don't play the game.

I have been a fan of the Elder Scrolls music (and games) for years now. This is a must buy if you love The Elder Scrolls or video game/soundtrack music in general! It's got tracks that are peaceful and relaxing and it's got tracks that are exciting and energizing! Some favorite tracks would be "For Blood, For Glory, For Honor", Malukah's "Beauty of Dawn", and "Northpoint Nocturne".

I'm not a gamer, so when Amazon suggested this game soundtrack to me, I only clicked on the play samples out of curiosity. But I was surprised because it sounds just as good as many of the albums I have in my film soundtrack collection. I especially love fantasy film and music that evokes that genre, so I was delighted to find this album. Thanks Amazon! You know me well. :)

If music awards did not automatically assume that video games were not worthy of their attention this one would sweep them all. The music was arranged and played by extremely talented people, and it conveys the beauty and tragedy involved in life.

No online multiplayer virtual world game has disappointed audiences more keenly than the Elder Scrolls Online, but not due to the quality of the work that went into making it. Perhaps the best example of the excellence of that work is the game's soundtrack. From the major themes to the smallest incidental interludes, this is first rate orchestral music - rich and evocative.

Yet, like most of the elements of the game, it points to its chief flaw. It's telling a story. And it was a good enough story to captivate a growing audience over more than two decades.

Problem is that in an online game - or MMO as many people call it - it is not the developers' story to tell. The magic of the MMO lay in narratives that can only happen when large crowds of initial strangers assemble in a digital domain that inspires their imagination and passion. ESO never taps this, seems almost unaware of this, and puts the whip to anyone who tries to make a social experience out of this.

At least you have wonderful music to listen to before you become frustrated and give up.

I loved every song! I found each track moving in its own way. It didn't sound like the same old thing that goes with a lot of games. It was like a true epic movie soundtrack that was emotionally touching. I will be adding it to my favorites!!!!!!!

I love all the Elder Scrolls games and their music scores. Elder Scrolls Online is no different. A beautiful soundtrack done by not only Jeremy Soule but Brad Derrick and Malukah!
