From School Library Journal
Gr 6-9--An objective, easy-to-read biography. Gottfried describes his subject in short, well-organized chapters and smoothly integrates quotes from Roosevelt and other primary sources into the text. Average-quality black-and-white photos appear throughout. Students who require more in-depth information should look to Sharon Whitney's Eleanor Roosevelt (Watts, 1982; o.p.), which reports more details about her later years, and Michael A. Schuman's Eleanor Roosevelt (Enslow, 1995), which has better quality photo reproductions and a superior cover portrait.
