I am a collector of film scores, but I don't generally write reviews because I find it difficult to describe music in words! But I just wanted to put in a good word about this score since it seems not to have gotten much attention. I feel it to be a charming and gorgeous album. The style is somewhere between Elfman and Coulais, and it seems to occupy a similar niche to the latter's score to "Coraline" from the year before. If you enjoyed that score, or generally appreciate music with quirky and creative instrumentations and orchestrations as well as heartwearming melodies, then this is definitely a worthy purchase.
