On his visits to schools far and wide, Uys and Evita convey the safe-sex message through honesty, openess and outrageous humour. The characters he meets are sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always human.

About the Author

Pieter-Dirk Uys was born in Cape Town in 1945 and has been in theatre since the 1960s. The creator of Evita Bezuidenhout, 'the most famous white woman in South Africa', he has a huge following, and his plays and revues are performed internationally.
