Electra Rainbow Crochet Gloves

Now and again I have to walk with a cane. I have a really nice cane, but it's got a non-padded wooden handle. I wanted something to make the cane a little easier on my hand when I knew we'd be walking around Disneyland all day, and realized that bike gloves would do the trick. I already had some, but they were in pretty sad shape after a couple of years of steady use.

These gloves were fabulous. They're lightweight, comfortable, and colorful, and boy, the comfort level on my cane handle couldn't be beat. Since bike gloves run a little snug by nature I chose the XL size, but in retrospect I probably should have chosen Large. Not a real problem, since the gloves fasten with Velcro strips and I could adjust the length around my wrist quite easily.

I am sure they'll do just as well for me when I start riding my bicycle or my Vespa again in warmer weather. :)

I really love the rainbow design of these gloves,I couldn't stop admiring them as I broke them in on a approx 200 mile ride through PA and MD. Even though, after the first day and a half, I noticed the padding felt less sufficient than it did when I first wore them, I would still rate the padding overall as being sufficient. My dad was riding with Nashbar Crochet gloves that were about half the price and seemed to have more padding than mine, but did not look nearly as cool haha! I love the rainbow man! It makes you feel good! The only problem and it may have just been with my pair, was that I noticed on the second day that one of the stitches in the red section had torn right at the seam where it connects to the palm padded part.. not a huge problem but will probably shorten the life by a little. Great gloves all in all. Crochet is perfect for long spring/summer trips when your hands need breathing.
