I wear 3 inch high heels all time time. This means callouses. I have tried EVERY product out there. Creams, buffers, pumice stones, etc. The products were either time-consuming, ineffective and/or conducive to repetitive stress injuries (like the pumice stone requiring the user to use elbow grease!) I've gotten professional treatments from the full range of service providers from nail salons to posh day spas. The treatments were expensive and only mildly effective. There is no way another person will be able to gauge exactly how much to take off without hurting you. THIS product is great! You can do it yourself, so you can remove as much as you need without causing damage or pain. It is easy, convenient, and most of all, EFFECTIVE. I highly recommend it. As a mother of four, I'm usually too busy to write comments or reviews. This is my first one, ever. But I know there are women out there just like me wasting time and money on various ways to remove callouses which are so very ugly. So, listen up, ladies! This is the last product of its kind you will need to buy. (You'll probably want to buy a few more for friends, but that'll be it.) I'm going to a bridal shower soon, and I've decided to buy this for the girls. Try it! You'll love it. :)

This callus remover didn't work on my calluses - my foot got very hot, but it wasn't getting through my tough yucky heels and almost no powder was being generated. After a full 45 minutes grinding away with the machine held at almost no pressure and to the point where the wheel would actually stop moving due to pressure with no results, I gave up. While Bario did allow the return of the unit, it was minus a 15% restocking fee. When you add that 15% to the $8.75 I paid to ship, and the $7 it cost to ship it back, it turned out to be a costly, $25+ experiment. Very disappointing.

UPDATE: I received a very nice email from Bario wherein they agreed to refund the 15% restocking fee, plus my shipping for both initial shipment and for mailing the item back to them. Not sure if you have to be a "squeaky wheel" to get that refund if the product doesn't work, but I would be more likely to recommend, especially considering the vast majority of buyers report this thing works great for them.

UPDATE: I recently bought another Bario and the product looked a bit different this time. There are 2 sellers on Amazon.com. DO NOT PURCHASE from seller "SUPER DUPER DEALS" because I think it's a FAKE product that comes with EU cord, not US cord. I think the quality is different as well where it seems to be made of cheaper plastic. Purchase from the seller/actual manufacturer Bariofootcare to make sure you get the right product w/ the US cord. Hope this helps.


Interesting product that really works.......... (10/05/09 Review)

The shape and design of the product is very cute!
Easy to use and I like how it collects the residue in side of the plate.
Compare to other electric callus removals, it is affordable and way more effective. I never write a review but I thought I should for this product because I am so amazed how this small product can be so effective and affordable at the same time.
I would still purchase this product even if this was more expensive than other electric callus removals.
At first, you need to get used with the motor because it won't work if you press it too hard. Just leave the machine on your feet and let it do thier work.
I ordered three more for my mom, grandma, and my little sister!

Why is this product not being sold in stores yet? I have been searching high and low for a cure to my callus problems and compared to the other products that I have tried I have to say this is the MOST effective. I just received the product the other day and after a long night out with the girls (and traveling in 4 inch heels as always), decided to give it a go. All I had to do was relax on my couch, watch some tube, and let the Bario do its work. It made my usually cracked and dry heels much softer, smoother, and I could see that a good layer of my calluses had been shaved off. After another session it improved even more! For me, doing short but multiple sessions really helped to get the results I wanted. Some additional upsides: 1) Aesthetically pleasing. It is just the right size and color, definetly a cute little gadget, 2) No filing or scrubbing motions are needed, just rotations, which makes the process more comfortable and almost therapeutic, and 3) A good quality product, the parts are not cheap and fit together well, which means I will be using it for a long time and that my money was well spent :) Thank you Bario!

i have awful calluses and have been battling them for the last 10 years. Purchased this product after reading all the positive reviews and because I was ready to invest in something that would, hopefully, finally work.

The Bario callus remover arrived today, was extremely easy to set up and start using, and best of all, after an hour or so of use, my feet are smooth as a baby's bottom. I am thrilled with this product and am buying one right now for my sister, who also has calluses. May this be the start of a long and beautiful relationship... with my feet!

I just absolutely love this product. I don't have thick callous but little dead skin under my foot is really annoying and looks ugly. (And Iam a lady who wears heels all the time!!)
This product allow me to remove those annoying callous under my foot really easily. It's pretty small so I can take it to trip if I want to. It comes with nice packaging also as you see in the picture.
Very modernlized design too.
I bought other electric callous remover before and it did not work! I was so mad because I wasted my money. But this product actually works! Love em!

I tried everything on the market for my persistent calluses, and Bario has worked better than anything else. I've never heard about Bario before, but recently learned about it through a friend from Asia, where supposedly, it's quite popular. For my tough calluses, 'shavers' have always worked better than creams or other topical solutions, but were always difficult to use. Manual shavers always required a great deal of arm work, was restricted in movement (only back and forth, not side to side or circular), and did not catch all the shavings. Unlike manual shavers, the electric Bario was quick and effortless to use, caught all the shavings, and left my foot smoother than anything else. I plan to purchase another one to give to my mom for Mother's Day.

I absolutely love this product so much! It removes my callus really easily and as other people mentioned, i love the design also. (so cute!) I also have to agree with them on "best product for callus." This is a truely new generation for the pedicure tool.
It also collects the residue and very easy to clean.
I also think the price is very cheap for an electric device.
I think this product was introduced in a magazine before and wanted to give it a try. But it was sold out and couldn't buy it at the time. And I am so glad that it is now sold in Amazon store!!
I don't have to scrub it anymore, which make me very tired.
And this product can be used on wet or dry foot, which make it very simple for me to use whenever I want.
Lastly, there was a small gift for first hundred customers. I love this free gift too!!! This small gift is very useful when I want to remove some hair.
I personally recommend this product to anyone.

Supposedly, Bario is a well-known product in Asia according to my mother. She asked me to get her one, which I did, and she is absolutely in love with it. She firmly believes Bario is the best callus remover in the market today. Before she was using manual foot scrub / razor blade. Now she just watches tv while letting the little machine do the work.

I personally have to say the HAIR REMOVAL KIT is AWESOME! One day I tried out the kit included in the box for my chest hair (yes, I'm a guy), and I was pleasantly surprised. I've used various hair removal products (razors, wax, cream, etc.) and this is the only one that is both painless and does not give me irritation. I should get one for myself...

The design is definitely slick. The size is perfect as well. I think it looks bigger in the picture.

I got this product after I had spent several months trying to remove the calluses from my feet after I was diagnosed with diabetes and found out the good foot care included getting rid of them before they could cause other issues. I spent hours, soaking, rubbing in layers of callus softeners, working with a Ped Egg and sandpaper as well as a pumice stone and even after weeks of working on my feet for several hours every night any progress I made seemed to be undone by the next night. After getting the Bario Callus Remover one time let me know that I had found my answer. Not only did the Bario do in an hour what a ped egg and pumice stone could not do in 3-5 hours, the callus that was removed stayed away, so the nest time I used the Foot care System I was able to make a great deal more progress even if I waited a couple of days in between uses. The foot cream also performed as advertised. I have even suggested to my doctor that he should tell his other diabetic patients that have issues with keeping their feet clear of calluses. After several weeks of using the Bario Foot care System, I now only have to use it weekly to stay ahead of any callus that tries to develop and the Foot Cream keeps my feet soft during the times in between. As mentioned in another review here, it can heat up an area if you do not keep the Foot Polisher moving around the callus, if you hold it in one spot it will polish through the calaus in that spot, feet hot and an make that area sore. That will not happen if you follow the directions and keep the polisher moving. It will not heat a spot up on you callus area if you are moving the polisher, as instructed, in circles and over the whole area of the callus. Given the cost and the results you will be getting a well made and a hard working tool for a very low price - which is always a deal, especially when it works as it is advertised to do :)
